Our horse drawn boat trips operate over 7 miles of the Montgomery Canal. This means that we can offer private charter cruises from 1 hour to 6 hours. The following standard packages are available all year round for groups of up to 12 people:
“1 hour”: A one hour return cruise travelling either eastward to bridge 77 or westward to Redwith Bridge from our mooring at Canal Central Tea Rooms. Price: £80.00
“2 hour”: A relaxing two hour return cruise from our mooring at Canal Central to Aston middle lock with a brief stop at the nature reserve. You are welcome to bring your own refreshments or we can provide a picnic to suit your budget. Price: £160.00
“4 hour”: A unique four hour return cruise from our mooring at Canal Central to Queens Head. This cruise takes you through unspoilt Shropshire countryside and includes the passage through the Aston Locks. The cruise includes a one hour stop for lunch at the Queens Head Inn, or a bring your own picnic stop at the Aston Nature Reserve. Price: £290.00
“6 hour”: This 6 hour one way cruise is definitely one for canal enthusiasts and includes the entire length of the restored section of the ‘Monty’ from Frankton Locks to Redwith Bridge including the newest section restricted to horsedrawn only. Refreshment stops are made at the Queens Head Inn and the day concludes with afternoon tea at Canal Central Tea Rooms.
